Louisa handpicks and presses each seaweed that she forages from various coastlines around the British Isles, including the Hebrides and Jurassic Coast. She learnt the art of pressing seaweed in childhood from her Grandmother and she continues to practice this from her studio in West Sussex. In pressing seaweed the beauty in tone and form of these delightful underwater plants is exemplified. Each piece is a one off and delicately pressed onto handmade paper.
